Valleyview, Alberta is a wonderful place to visit in the fall. During the colder months, temperatures drop and the vibrant leaves turn from green to crimson. It truly is a sight to behold. Thus, when you visit this fall, we recommend getting outdoors. From enjoying a walk in one of our nearby provincial parks to golfing nine holes, check out this list of things to do in Valleyview this fall.
There’s no better way to soak up the beautiful fall foliage Valleyview has to offer than by going on a walk. There are numerous parks in town where, come October, you’ll be able to see crimson trees and feel crunchy leaves beneath your feet. Two of our favourites are Young’s Point Provincial Park and Williamson Provincial Park. Both of these parks feature easy, leisurely walking trails that people of all ages and abilities can enjoy.
The return of cold weather means it’s time to swap those iced coffees for yummy spiced lattes. Celebrate the return of fall by sipping on a hot drink in Valleyview. Valleyview is home to Tall Timber Coffee Corp, our local independent coffee shop. Tall Timber is known for their incredible coffee, as well as their delicious pastries, soups, and sandwiches. Butternut squash soup with a warm vanilla latte anyone? Grab yours to go and take a walk along the town’s main drag.
If you’re an avid golfer, then you’ll likely be getting in your last round of the season soon. There is no better place to do that than at the Valleyview Riverside Golf Course. This public, 9-hole course is located just 15 minutes from the hotel and is welcome to anyone. It’s also extremely affordable, making it a popular activity for families.
