As the world navigates the COVID-19 outbreak, we are all doing our part to limit its impact. If you’re looking for the latest updates on the COVID-19 situation in Alberta, visit the Government of Alberta’s website for the latest news.

While the situation is ever-changing, it’s too soon to say when activities will return to normal. So we will leave you with a couple of reasons why Valleyview, Alberta should be on your future radar: To be clear, we do not suggest travelling now. Please listen and follow all the social distancing and preventive measures being recommended by health officials.

Plan a picturesque golf getaway

The Valleyview Riverside Golf Course is a view in itself in addition to being a challenging, fun nine-hole golf course. It’s situated right along the Little Smokey River, and its rolling hills and dense trees require concentration from its players. The golf course is located about an hour and a half east of Grand Prairie - perfect for a day trip.

Young’s Point Provincial Park

Alberta is known for its parks, from Banff National Park to Jasper National Park, but Young’s Point Provincial Park is one of the province’s best-kept secrets. Home to Sturgeon Lake, visitors can do a variety of outdoor activities from hiking, mountain biking, sailing, water skiing, and even bird watching on the observation deck at the beaver pond. Save Young’s Point Provincial Park for the nature bucket list.

These are only a snippet of what’s available in Valleyview. We encourage you to flip through the past year of our blog to see what Valleyview is normally like. For everyone here at our hotel, we wish you and your loved ones the best during these difficult times. Stay healthy!
