Are you a lover of the outdoors? Looking for some last-minute adventures to top off the summer? Visit Young’s Point Provincial Park for the best of hiking, cycling, and wildlife!
This is an intensive guide for great day trips to Young’s Point Provincial Park and the best it has to offer:
Hiking and Cycling:
The park has three great trails you can visit to see the best of nature. Sturgeon, Alces and the Eagle Creek/Boreal Loop are the three main trails and they vary between 2.5-7 km each; making it a great option for any level of experience. These trails are open all year round but we recommend heading there in the warmer months for mountain biking and hiking. If you plan on heading to the park in the colder months make sure to hit up the trails for a unique snowshoeing experience.
Sturgeon Lake and Beaver Pond
If you are a fan of water activities make sure that you check out Sturgeon Lake. Whether you are into water sports, wildlife or relaxing the lake has something to offer for everyone. If you want to fish you can head out sailing, canoeing or powerboating. Out on the powerboat? Why not take a try at water skiing? There’s also an observation deck at Beaver Pond if you want a great spot for bird watching. If you want to take it easy you can relax at the beach and enjoy the sun!
